MY APPROACH:

I offer my clients a solutions-oriented, integrative counseling approach to face the obstacles that get in the way of living their best life. Because I focus on solutions, I am direct. We will problem solve together to find what works best for you and then we will focus on getting you where you want to be.Therapy is expensive, and I do not believe in extending the process longer than is necessary. I use an integrative or whole body approach to therapy which means that I want to more about you – your sleep and eating patterns, exercise, your methods of self-care, your support system, your beliefs. Only with a holistic view can we design an effective way to bring about change. For these reasons, I like to collaborate with your other healthcare providers to ensure that you are getting the best possible care.

The therapy relationship is different. Like other important relationships it is based on connection and trust, but what makes it uniquely powerful is how a good therapist can present perspectives that are different from what friends or family can offer on what is working in your life, and what is not working. I will support you, guide you, and celebrate each of your gains. I will also gently point out if and when you revert to past negative behaviors, or when you do not give yourself credit for what you have accomplished. Let me help you find the joy, connection and hope in your life.
